A 'straight' in poker is a hand in which a player has five running cards in sequence that are not all of the same suit. For instance the hand 5-6-7-8-9 is a straight. It is the sixth best hand that can be made, only beaten by a flush, full house, four of a kind, straight flush and the royal flush.
A Straight draw is a hand that is missing a card to complete the sequence of 5 cards.
