The Small Blind - Online Poker

The small blind' is referred to in online poker as 'SB'. It is the smaller of two automatic (enforced) bets that are made in a hand of poker to ensure there is something in the pot to fight for. The SB is usually half the value of the Big Blind (BB). Both these bets ensures that there is some money in each hand.

The blinds are posted by the two players to the left of the dealer button. The player immediately to the left of the dealer button posts the small blind and the player next to the left the big.
