Board Cards (Poker)

'Board Cards' or 'community cards' are the shared cards that are dealt face up on the table in a game of poker. These board cards are cards that every player can use in conjunction with the private cards or hole cards they hold. In a standard game of Hold'em, there are 5 board cards dealt. The three cards on the flop, the one on the turn and the one on the river. Players then use their 2 hole cards in conjunction with the 5 on the board to make the best 5 card hand.
